8 BAD SKINCARE HABITS YOU WON'T BELIEVE STILL EXISTS

1. NOT MOISTURIZING DAILY
Moisturizing is one of the most important aspect of anyone's skincare regimen (be it male/female). Our skin is always at the receiving end of the elements so it is pertinent we nourish it with consistent re-hydration. Having an oily skin is no excuse for leaving your skin dry and dehydrated. For every skin type there are moisturizers that are specifically formulated for it.

2. CONCENTRATING ON YOUR FACE
Unfortunately, most ladies are culprits of this serious crime. They concentrate all the TLC on their face alone at the detriment of other parts of their body. Many times I have seen ladies with glowy flawless faces but their legs, back etc looks dull, dry and even scaly. Every single inch of your body deserves your love and attention so stop being partial!



3. OVER-EXFOLIATING
Yea, exfoliation is great for your skin as it helps in removing the dull, dead skin so the fresh glowy one underneath can shine forth. However, like they say, too much of everything is bad. Overzealous exfoliation can have a reverse effect on your skin; causing dryness, inflammation and redness amongst other things.

4. USING DIRTY MAKEUP BRUSHES & SPONGES
If you wear makeup then you must be willing to wash the tools you use often. Sponges, brushes and even makeup products themselves can become breeding ground for bacteria. E.g Surface of your pressed powder, mascara, lipstick/gloss, eyeliner etc. Brushes and sponges need to be washed at least once a week and and spot clean with Isopropyl Alcohol after use. Keep those brushes clean, or suffer the pimply consequences.

5. NOT CLEANING YOUR FACE AT NIGHT
Our face is one of the most exposed part of our body and after a hard day's work it needs a bath, don't you think. Now imagine sleeping with a face soaked in a mixture of sweat, dust and make-up...YUCK! If you cannot have a shower at night before bed then try to wash just your face but if you are too tired to even wash, use a facial wipe and get that gunk off your face before hitting the sack...plsss.

6. POPPING ZITS/PIMPLES
Whether you suffer from major acne attack or just the occasional one at that time of the month; it is a grave error to pop that pimple no matter how tempting it may be. Popping zits introduces bacteria to the skin which in turn ends in black spot on your face. So get your hands off your face sista!

7. OVER EXPOSURE TO THE SUN WITHOUT SUNSCREEN
We have all heard of the great benefit of using sunscreen, at least for your face. You would be amazed though by the number of ladies who still go without it yet complain of skin discoloration and aging.

8. USING PRODUCTS WITH HIGH % HYDROQUINONE AND STEROIDS

I know i always shout this loud; but hydroquinone and steroids does more bad than good for your skin. Why expose yourself to a danger you can do without. there are so many natural lightening ingredients you can use if you must lighten.

  6. I made use of diva lotion for about four years. I jus realized it contains steroids. So I bought F&W (so white) meanwhile, the diva caused me stretch marks and green veins. Pls onome, how can I get rid of green veins
