Natural Homemade Face Masks for Dry Skin

This time I'll share a few tips on how to make natural homemade face masks; made from natural ingredients that we can get easily - from the market or supermarket. Before using a natural facial mask, it helps to first identify your skin type. Is your skin normal, oily, or dry/aging skin types. This will ensure you use an appropriate mask for your skin type and therefore you are sure of getting the expected result. Natural homemade face mask is easy to make and certainly free of chemicals that affect the health of our skin.

Natural Homemade Face Mask For Dry Skin Types:
Generally dry skin looks dull, rough, at worse times scaly and taut. Therefore the most important need for this kind of skin is hydration....DEEP HYDRATION. Avoid alcohol-based cleanser and also avoid washing your face with hot water because those would dry out your skin the more. Better still try the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) for more hydration.

Egg Yolk, Honey, Olive oil, and Oatmeal Mask

This is a super-duper moisturizing and hydrating mask that is sure to be beneficial for a dry skin. Mix 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of instant oatmeal, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon olive oil. Apply the mask to the face to the neck. Let stand 20 minutes then rinse lukewarm water. Use this natural face mask 2 times a week.

Rose Water and Honey Mask

Rose water prevents aging by reducing wrinkles and tightening skin pores. Dry skin can be hydrated by using rose water as a moisturizer and also in masks like this combination of Rose Water and Honey which is a natural humectant (retains moisture).
Mix 2 tablespoons honey and 1 tablespoon rose water. Apply evenly on face, leave on 15-20 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water. This natural face mask is safe to use every day.

Aloe Vera and Cucumber Mask

This simple face mask for dry skin hydrates and soothes. The cooling and cleansing cucumber softens and while aloe vera has deep reaching hydrating power to make your skin supple. Mix 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel with 1/2 sliced cucumber in a blender. Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck (avoiding the eye area). Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 30 minutes. Finally wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.

Its a great habit to use appropriate masks for your face at least twice a week. Take care of your skin now to reap the benefits later.
